Some songs just hit different. And when you’ve been DJing South Asian weddings long enough, you realize there’s a small circle of undeniable bangers that it doesn't matter what year it is — they just move the crowd every single time.

This one’s for the OGs. For the da ladies, da boyz, cousins, moms, dads, aunties & of course all my kakas ;)

These are the songs that built the backbone of my Sangeet crates — and honestly? I don’t think I’ll ever retire them. These will be played endlessly...

Timeless Heat: Sangeet Songs I’ll Never Retire

Some tracks don’t age… they just get better with time. These aren’t just songs — they’re moments. They build the hype, spark the smiles, and lock in the vibes. I’ve dropped these at nearly every wedding I’ve DJ’d — and I promise you, they’ll never leave my crates.

Here’s my forever rotation:

Maahi Ve – Not even up for debate. This is the Sangeet anthem. The moment it drops, you already know — bride side, groom side, uncles, aunties — everyone’s hitting that dance floor. It’s the one that brings the entire crowd together.

Soni De Nakhre – This one sneaks in loud. You hear that drop and the uncles go wild. Super high energy, easy choreo, and full nostalgia. Never lets me down.

Ishq Kameena – Unhinged in the best way. This track is all about chaos and character. The perfect song to leave the DJ Booth and go dance w/ the crowd. It’s gritty, fun, and brings absolute chaos. (See the live video below of us in action w/ this track)

Koi Kahe – Still undefeated. One of my personal favorites — this is the boys' anthem. Every groom squad secretly wants this in the playlist, and when it hits… it’s full throttle.

Subha Hone Na De – Whenever this song plays, it has always made me happy. I don't know what it is but the beat always hits. It kicks the night off with a bang, gets everyone on their feet, and makes it impossible to sit still.

2 Step Bhangra – Certified weapon. This is my personal go-to when I wanna take it from lit to legendary. The dhol, the groove, the vibe — it hits every single time and gives that UK Bhangra energy that people don’t even know they need ‘til it plays. This is the one we sprinkle in and always works ;)

Why I’ll Keep Playing These...

I know there’s always new music dropping. And I love breaking new edits and trending reels. We love making mashups and remixes...ALL THE TIME...But these tracks? These are built into the overall vibe of what I do.

There’s something about that recognition. That instant crowd reaction. That look the couple gives each other when their people surprise them with a performance they didn’t see coming.

That’s what these songs give us. And that’s why they’ll always stay in the crates.
